OVERVIEW:
The Denton Chamber of Commerce is excited that your business is taking the beAlert Business Challenge. We feel that businesses in the Denton area can lead the way in disaster preparedness and serve as an example for all members of our community. The Denton Chamber of Commerce is committed to finding ways to serve our community and the beAlert Program is an initiative designed to encourage Denton businesses and others to spend the time necessary to prepare for a variety of disasters.

How does the beAlert Challenge work?
The Denton Chamber of Commerce in consultation with the Denton Emergency Planning Action Committee (DEPAC) have developed a list of requirements that businesses in the Denton area (who want to be recognized as a "beAlert Business") must incorporate to get an official Denton Chamber of Commerce beAlert Seal of Approval.

Step 1: Review Sections 1 through 4 of the reference guide above..

Step 2: Implement the beAlert requirements.

Step 3: When all requirements have been completed, contact the Denton Chamber of Commerce to schedule a verification interview.

Step 4: When all the beAlert Business requirements have been verified, sign and date the beAlert Business Commitment Form. This form will remain on file at the Denton Chamber of Commerce.

Step 5: Proudly display the Denton Chamber of Commerce beAlert Business Seal of Approval in your business window.

Are there any major costs?
No, the costs to be recognized as a beAlert Business are minimal (refer to the commitment form) and the benefits to your business should far out weigh any costs.
